Paco Sanguino

Paco Sanguino is a multidisciplinary artistborn in Seville, 1962 With respect to the work that represents him, he points out that at this moment he is in a technically desired evolutionary state. He forgot the academy some time ago and solved visual discourses in a more concise way by the need to make a speech without technical boasts and much more focused on painting as a tool than as an end. His work represents the relationship between the individual and the rest of society, as well as the importance of the objects with which he interacts in it. He relies on his daily findings with the approach of the project as an essential basis, the discipline of that project places him in a committed position not to deviate, to reach a discourse without ambiguities, also without excesses. Critics and curators of Contemporary Art such as; Fernando Francés CAC Málaga, Bernardo Palomo “Diario de Jerez”, Jose Manuel Sanjuan, “La Opinión de Málaga”, German Miguel Borrachero, “Director of the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving”... have represented him and written texts for catalogues in galleries and museums.

Frank Westermann

Frank Westermann, Leverkusen, Germany, 1957 . 2022 . Marbella, Andalusia, Spain.

A multidisciplinary artist with a vast career of constant research and relentless search, he began his training and artistic interest in the USA but it was when he settled in Marbella, Malaga, that he enthusiastically developed his creative process.

Based there, he  exhibited in numerous countries, participating in prestigious Fairs and Biennials, such as Santa Fe, Malaga and Madrid.

He has also exhibited in the contemporary art museum of Malaga CAC, MGEC of Marbella.

Portugal, Germany and the USA have been able to enjoy his work. But the south of Spain was his home and his centre of operations since he settled there. The light of Andalusia seduced him and captured the interest and love of his camera; “Light is the costume of photography” Alberto García-Alix. This phrase defines very well what the artist saw through his lens.

The strong Mediterranean influence always inspired him in photographs the purest and most genuine objects, people and environments that his coast could offer to capture them in his work with a sublime extravagance.

"Ideas arise, I don't go out on the street or travel looking for a specific photograph. I just let myself be surprised by the images, by the scenes that life gives me" Frank Westermann.

His projects consist of complete series that group portraits, interior landscapes, exteriors and an imagined fauna with a very specific meaning for the artist. They are based on his own symbols, obsessions, and personal experiences. His work remains constantly alive, as during the production process, the pieces grew in line with his feelings and daily experiences. His images awaken unexpected feelings and thoughts in the viewer because they not only display beauty but also evoke wonder and mystery. The author wished to give his creations the sensation of entering a hidden world that the human eye cannot grasp at first glance, hence the charge of eroticism, sensitivity, melancholy, and his wild passion for life.

Laura Ray

Laura Ruiz Ray was born in 1986 in Madrid, Spain. Her work explores personal growth and introspection through portraiture combining soft colours, geometric shapes and natural elements. Her work becomes a symbolic space where the duality between the visible and the hidden is revealed, what we show to the world and what we keep in silence.

Through a contained but emotional aesthetic, Laura invites the viewer to an inner journey, to stop and listen. Each piece works as a kind mirror, a place to recognize oneself, question oneself and connect with one's own emotions from calm and contemplation.

Her artistic approach does not seek definitive answers, but rather to generate questions and open spaces for internal dialogue. In this sense, her works not only decorate a space, but inhabit it with meaning, promoting a deeper connection with oneself and the environment.
